Daleen Nel Hall completed her BA degree in Fine Arts in 1995 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, where she majored in Printmaking, Painting and Art Education.
Her passion for Art led her to pursue a career as a lecturer in Art, Photography and Design for 11 years at secondary school level, amongst others at Pretoria High School for Girls. Here she was the Head of the Photography and Design Department from 2003 – 2007. In 2003 she established Capturing Life as her part time photography business, specializing mainly in Weddings and Portrait photography. During this time she participated in several group as well as a solo art exhibitions and in 2004, one of her photographic works was selected to form part of a “Proudly South African” photographic exhibition held in the United States of America.
After swapping the world of Art Education for a brief rendezvous in the Corporate PR and Advertising industry, she finally took up her full time career as Photographer and Artist in 2011. Her subject matter is often sensitively inspired (by people or organic by nature), and her medium of choice remains Painting and Photography, or a combination of both.
